📺 the sopranos* | yeah, so, i managed to get all the way to 2026 without seeing the sopranosand uhhh. it's basically this undertale review. really the notable thing is all the memories from being a tiny kid in an italian american family that have been unlocked by this show. i've started doing making sunday night dinner food on friday nights for shabbos (being an italian jew is wild). also, uncle junior looks exactly like my great great grandfather. just a sidenote.
📺 strangers from hell* | i'm still working through this show and, dang. like, it started to drag and i was worried it was losing steam. but then! the dentist guy and the main guy (i do not retain names) met and hit it off and their dynamic is immediately fascinating. color me compelled.
🎵 silver bleeds the black sun - afi | i'm coming up on 20 years of loving afi (realistically they are my all-time favorite band, which i'll probably make a blog post about), and i am finally finally going to see them live in a few weeks. i was a little nervous initially, as they're touring on their latest album, which i hadn't heard when i bought the ticket. fortunately, the album thoroughly fucks. i've read glowing reviews that talk about it being a modern goth classic, and while i cant speak to that, i can say that it's a great listen. the songs are somehow gloomy and catchy as hell, while still maintaining their signature sound (though i imagine nonstandard tuning helps a fair bit in that regard). either way, it's fantastic. fave song of the moment: behind the clock.
