man, i like stationery a bunch. especially, like, pens and planners and what-not. here's some of my stuff.
eventually i'm planning to show swatches of all my pens, and maybe a couple of notebook pages / planner layouts, but for now, it's mostly pens.
my clear yellow kakuno is the only one with the base black ink in it. i have a new ink cartridge converter coming soon though so that'll change soon.
my first kakuno! it predictably has blue ink in it.
this one has a lovely fuschia ink in it. no swatches yet, but trust me.
hi-tec-c black (0.4mm). let me be real with you: even though this one says it's 0.4, it writes finer than my 0.38s, and i'm not sure how that's possible. if i had to guess, i'd say maybe the ink is less viscous? this would also explain the skipping issue this pen has, which is one of the only things keeping it from being my current favorite (the other being how actively un-ergonomic it is).
pilot g-2 (0.38mm). this pen's time as my all-time favorite lasted longer than my first marriage. i still love it, but it's not an exclusive relationship anymore, which i think has been good for us.
zebra sarasa (0.3mm).honorable mention, i guess? there's nothing wrong with the sarasa (and i love the hinged clip), it's just... fine. it's fine.
uniball signo dx (0.38mm). my current favorite gel pen, tbh. i love it, but it's not super ergonomic, so i can't write indefinitely. still, the lines are clean and it's great for using in a planner.
hi-tec-c coleto 5-count multi-pen (0.38mm). my pearl multipen currently holds: pink, apricot, cherry, blue, black. my navy holds: brown, orange, purple, light green, light blue. I don't use the navy one very much.
tombow dual-sized brush pen (black and grey).i love this guy. gets the heaviest use out of all the brush pens and markers, by far
staedtler double-sided brush marker. one of a whole pack of double-sided watercolor markers that i never use for their intended purpose.
staedtler lumicolor permanent fine-tip marker. this marker was nice when i got it, but i used it to draw on my hands every day for like a week and a half and now it uhhh doesn't work so good. i should probably just replace it, but instead i pick it up at least twice a week, try to use it, and get annoyed that i haven't tossed it out yet. and then i put it back in the desk organizer.
TRASH GARBAGE MARKER UGH. i hate this thing. i swear i've gotten rid of it several times, but somehow it keeps winding up back on my desk? i've just put it in with my toddler's markers, so hopefully it's not my problem anymore. stay tuned for two months from now when it inevitably winds up in my desk organizer again.
pentel signpen "touch" brush pen. this is a nice brush pen. why don't i use this more? this would be great for my commonplace book. hey, me, take a note: use this for your commonplace book.
stabilo fineliner. i'm not a big felt-tip guy, but this one makes me wish i was. it lives on my desk aspirationally.
staedtler triplus fineliner. during my sophomore year in college, i spent a solid quarter using a multicolor set of these as my primary notetaking pens. it totally didn't work, i just wound up stressing myself out over making my notes look pretty. that set didn't have olive green. maybe it would have helped (but probably not).
tombow abt double-sided brush pen. sometimes you need a big ol' honkin' olive green marker. idk.
this section is coming soon (i just ordered the orange sampler and it's not here yet but rest assured, i will be adding them to this page). edit: pens arrived this morning, pics are up, write-ups incoming!
